It's been four years since the last time we fish here,mostly due to the scamdemic and other earthly factors.
This home/padang GT never disappoint us if the current and sea condition is permit able...
The reef is the continuity of the Niah Cave limestone hill some 10-20 miles on the shore and is rich of teeming unscared marine lifes(so far,and forever hopefully)...
Eventho best record here(by popping) never exceed 40kg,but 15-30kg sizes are fun to play with and challenging,since the risk of getting your line cut here is high due to the depth of the sharp reef is just 5-20m below your boat.
We had 2 days of fun anyway, 3 Sarawakians and one Danish that even jumped into the sea to weather the hot sun on the second day,after being punished by the storm on the first day just after about 30 minutes of fishing...
And as always,the hospitality of the villagers of Kampung Kuala Sibuti is always at top notch,a lot of friendly familiar faces,and new as well...those kids that now grown up...and you can feel they sincerely miss you after the four years and there is that natural charm in this village,the food,the river,the beach,the sea and even the chicken and the goats!!!
And the ratio;
4 GTs landed ,3 on poppers and one on stick bait,all by SALACIA LURES.
2 GTs broke the main line,about 5 'spitted' out the lures and maybe 10 GTs miss stroke the lures...
Not bad for Miri' water standard.
Enjoy the pics...untill another time...
